    Default Pogo Goes Full Man-child

Formerly relevant* keyboardist (read: sampler) Stephen Bier said that Manson should off himself. Classy as fuck, huh? Maybe Pogo should take his own advice.

*He'll be relevant again for a few days because of this shit, then back to obscurity for him.

He and Scott should start a support group so they can stroke each others egos and dicks.

We're looking down on Wayne's basement. Only... that's not Wayne's basement.

Look at his Facebook page, he's loving the attention. Best thing that's happened to him in 5 years. All he does is spout the same shit every time, but what's he actually achieving by it? Maybe it's just me, but having 100 people agree with you, and 500 think you're even more of a cunt, is not a success in my eyes.

It's an attention grab. His ramblings on facebook make even less sense. He claimed TPE got zero notice, yet was rated one of the best albums of 2015 by Rolling Stone. I think the guy killed some braincells doing the rockstar thing, and since his money ran dry he's slowly turning into Chris Holmes.

On a semi-serious note, it's important to remember that in the formative years and breakout success period where Marilyn Manson found an audience, the 'character' each member inhabited was utilised perfectly to introduce and establish their role within the band, and the wider persona their fans would identify with. From the outset Pogo was depicted as the genuinely unhinged one. Not au fait and debauched like Manson, or impish and nonchalant like Twiggy, just demented. In his book and interviews, Manson sold Pogo as a scientist, a psychopath, a loaded gun. The truth is, that could only have been partially right, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to adapt and blend so well with each phase of the Manson experiment, or undertake the schedule it takes to be in such a high-functioning band.
Certainly he caved eventually and didn't have what it takes, but that could easily just mean he's a flake. Manson and Twiggy have both expressed that they were in danger of losing themselves in characters they created at a very young age, and although they are still very much those people, they didn't get buried too far in the illusion.

Stephen Bier sadly seemed to have spent the period 1989-2006 being pretty much dislocated from reality, and now after another ten years, he's no closer to knowing what to do with himself, or even really having a relevant message to promote. That might seem chaotic and interesting when you have the name of an international rock star to fall back on, but the truth is without Marilyn Manson, he's nothing.
