    Default Favorite Obscure MM Track?

Could be Demos, Remixes, Alternate Versions, Backmasked Versions, and even Live versions, and other like-manner song/track types?

For me, the Backmasked Version of Man That You Fear is actually my favorite MM track. This is mostly because I'm a HUGE Noise fan, and it's so touching and fucking sad, how it all flows together. It's Royal - that's how I'd describe it.

Close runner ups would be MM - Minute of Decay Live in Hamilton 1997, Tourniquet (Prosthetic Version), Scabs, Guns and Peanut Butter (Slowed down version), P is For Porno, Man That You Fear (both demos), and so many more I could think of.

P.S. I apologize if this topic has been done before.

My absolute favorite Spooky Kids track and it never gets mentioned. I don't think even Scott has commented on its origins. It has a strong post-punk vibe.

Not really obscure, but it gets less press than "Apple Of Sodom" or "The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell", the two other ACSS B-sides.

A jokey cover, but I really dig it.

I think obscure is subjective, depends on who you are asking but here's some of my "go-to's" when it comes to bsides or remixes.

    The New Shit Goldfrapp
    Suck For Your Solution
Tourniquet Prosthetic Dance Mix (long version)
    Tainted Love (Re-Tainted)
Irresponsible Hate Anthem (Venus Head Trap)
    Diamonds & Pollen
    Disposible Teens (Bon Harris Remix)
    Mother Inferior Got Her Gunn
    Resident Evil OST
The KKK Took My Baby Away
    The Nobodies (Wormwood Remix)

Suck For Your Solution! Amazing song. Also lest we forget these covers:
    Golden Years
    Five To One
    Working Class Hero
    Sick City
    Like A Virgin
    Suicide is Painless

I was never a big fan of his KKK Took My Baby Away. He really choked all the fun out of the absurdity of that song and made it really serious...which was obviously the point, but I never thought it was really that great or listenable

I loved his cover of Surrender and always wished they would have properly recorded it. The audio is so shitty and lo-fi most of the time.

I also loved that song he did that Jonathan Davis wrote for Queen of the Damned....what was it called? That seems to be another forgot gem. It's not exactly forgotten or obscure, but his This Is Halloween is really good

I thought you meant obscure tracks from actual album releases that people forget about or just are never played and not generally considered his best work. In that case, I've always been a big fan of New Model 15, User Friendly, and I Want To Disappear on MA. On Holy Wood, The Death Song and Born Again I think are frequently forgotten about. I'm still pissed that two of the best songs on EMDM in my opinion were never played life...or at least I am unaware it they have... Red Carpet Grave and They Said That Hell's Not Hot. Lastly, The Pale Emperor gets a lot of love and praise, but one of my favorite tracks still hasn't been played live, Devil Beneath My Feet.

Isn't that "Like A Virgin" cover actually by Rackets And Drapes, aka The Stryper Of Shock Rock? I'm pretty sure it was just mislabeled on file-sharing programs back in the day.

Agreed about the two Eat Me, Drink Me tracks and "Redeemer" (much better than the version with Jon Davis' vocals, not that that's hard) and "Surrender".

I've never heard of Rackets and Drapes. I just looked them up, some of the music is kind of interesting, but I don't like the guys voice. I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if you are right. If this is true, thanks. I've been going around thinking that was a Manson song for about 13 years!

I'm convinced it's NOT Racket and Drapes. Doesn't sound like them, and I can't find anything in their discography about the song. Seems a bit of a mystery as to who exactly performed this song.... Weird. I'm pretty sure you're right about it not being Manson though....so who the fuck is it?

I've seen it listed before on this page:

    http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/List_...n_Manson_songs

Unfortunately, that site is experiencing technical difficulties for me right now.

Yeah, obscure is slightly open to interpretation, but there is obvious point of where not to go, like any single, or just overall well-appreciated fan songs. Basically, this is a celebration post for the freak show of an already freak show artist.

Unpopular songs certainly are applicable to this thread, indeed. Basically, anything that would be largely unfamiliar to a casual listener to MM's general albums/song library, so things like Thaetre off of GAOG, or like Burning Flag, or even live performances, remixes, alternate versions, altered version, instrumentals, demos, ANYTHING (bar Sweet Dreams) off of SLC.

    Hope this helps.
