    Default You Decide

    You Decide
    What if…there were no politics?
No more empty promises and lies.
    What if…there was no country?
No global domination, steeped in pride.
What if… there was no more war?
No use for societies to kill and die.
    What if….there was no religion?
No more reason to argue and fight.
What if…there was no more oppression?
    Everyone enduring the same plight.
What if…there were no more differences?
And a multitude of similarities came to light.
    What if…there was no racism?
No hatred of brown or yellow skin, black or white.
    What if…there was no fear?
Not even in the coldest and darkest of night.
What if… there was no money?
And people still had everything needed to survive.
What if… there was no competition?
Brothers and sisters living peacefully, side by side.
    What if… everyone just loved?
    And considered others with delight.
What if…we lived in a different world?
Because we would all finally decide…

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12, KJV

Pretty good, though not reasonable. And very John Lennon of you.

To be honest, it would be a world boring as fuck. Nice try, altough a lot "Lennon'esque".

    To each their own!

I don't think it would be boring at all because we would have so much more time and energy to keep our focus on the things that really matters (to me anyway) - Science, art, technology.... etc.

I have no more need for unnecessary drama.

However, since many humans have a very self-destructive nature..... then let them fight all they like! - We should never create a world where we are all the same, but I do believe that we have the intelligence to stop fighthing over nonsense.

Because I would really like to fly in space instead of just fighting on earth.

^^ You have way too much faith and hope in mankind. If my 30+ years of living in this planet have taught me something, is that the stupidity of human nature knows no boundaries or limits. I, for once, would like to see all human life gone extinct. Nature would thank that.

Cat, I think you make excellent points. I don’t believe it would be boring either. People would have more time to live "real life".

Hey, if you need a wing-gal let me know...

Mexicanfiend, thank you for your insights. And you make an excellent point about mankind’s self-destructive tendencies, too. But, imagine if we lived in a world like I described. How self-destructive do you think would people be then? Are we not, at least to some degree, products of our environments?

That's almost how I feel on my dark days!
