    Default Marilyn Manson Vocal Cover

Not a Manson fan never really listened to him before, but a friend said I sounded like him in my original music. So, I gave it a shot. I figured if anyone would say I sounded like Manson it would be from a Marilyn Manson fansite.

Hey. I think it's close enough, there's definitely a likeness, though your voice is not as low and gravelly, but you're younger and your voice is not as processed as his. Plus you didn't even try to mock all his inflections, which might have made the likeness even more obvious. I gave your other tunes a listen as I like these genres and I enjoyed them. With some proper production and mixing, it would be killer (like, the drums which sound too "thin", or the bass which would benefit from some compression, as it sometimes spikes). Obviously, drowning our voice in reverb fits that type of music, but I think turning it down a bit could be beneficial, as it drowns your vocal footprint as well. In those other tunes of yours, your voice also reminded me of a goth band I like, Kiss the Blade. Anyway, keep it up man!

Thanks for checking out my music! Yeah I need to work on production, I just formed a band but we haven't played live yet, still in the practicing stage and writing enough songs for a set. Probably going to re record the drums live once we figure it all out, try to make it sound better. My band mates keep telling me not to worry though since most band demos sound horrible, this is the first band ive been in so I don't really know but I've listened to some demos of other bands and they sound pretty awful lol

Oh so if you liked my music, you may like this. This is my favorite band, I'm taking this genre of music and trying to combine it with more of a post-punk sound rather than everything washed in reverb.

Thanks for checking out my songs! Yeah, I need to work on the production and mixing of the music, I'm a bit of a noob so I don't really know what I'm doing tbh. I just formed the band not too long ago after people started saying my music was good, we haven't played live yet but have been practicing, and i'm writing more songs so that we can have a full set. They are way more experienced, told me not to worry too much about my demos since most band demos are pretty awful, so I guess there's that. I'd like to at least re record live drums over the demos soon.

I liked your link! If you dig my music you may like my biggest inspiration and my favorite band, I'm trying to do something a little different in this genre that no one else is currently doing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI79GPXAICM

But yeah, I usually use tons of reverb on my vocals and sing differently. Ever since doing that Manson vocal cover I learned how to sing differently, and learned new vocal recording techniques.

Here's my new song I just wrote using my new vocal style and recording style. Song is a bit moody, it's about my shitty ex "Watch You Burn"

Hope you all dig it, glad I did that Manson cover out of the blue, really changed up my vocal performance for the better I think.
