Default If your essence were a band

Which band would it be? Attribute anything.

Consider their sound: their tones, the depth, the fuzz, the delicacies, ....

    Consider their lyrics, even

    Hell, consider their image.

Share a song, even if it is the only song from that band

Share words, if you're so inclined.

That would have to be my own band. First World Appetite.

I love this song because the lyrics are pretty much my view on how i feel about the current state of mankind. With a wall of sound to back up the attitude.

Why? I know it's cliche' as fuck, but we're all here for a reason. Clearly, we feel we can deeply relate with the music and words of Marilyn Manson in one way or another. I'm not saying anyone is wrong or right. This is still our own subjective experience in life and perhaps we are missing the point in "random Manson song", but at the end of the day, in some way, shape or form, we can feel that we relate with, or even live vicariously through MM in some cases, to an extent.

Frankly, I feel this is almost a dishonest question. It's designed to look different, but really, the question boils down to "what is your favorite band and why?".

My top two answers would be, in no particular order, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. For some VERY different reasons, but there is also a middle ground where they meet as well.

I'd put my band in there too, Lollypop Tragedy.

And if we're going a little more in depth, I'd also throw in Wednesday 13, Dope, Murderdolls, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and Ozzy.

But, fuck. Maybe I misunderstood everything.

Early Suede (1992-1994), for pretty much everything: sound, thematics, imagery and aesthetics.

    70s era Judas Priest.

To revenge the misdeeds of the ruling class, there existed in the middle ages, in Germany, a secret tribunal, called the “Vehmgericht.” If a red cross was seen marked on a house, people knew that its owner was doomed by the “Vehm.”

All the houses of Europe are now marked with the mysterious red cross.
