    Default Isolated Vocals/Backgrounds

Stumbled across this. Pretty cool! You can hear either vocals or parts you may not normally hear. I never noticed the heavier humming in Flowers or the "meee" part in Four Rusted Horses. I wish that part was brought out more, you can't hear it at all normally.

That humming in "The Flowers Of Evil" is terrific, and really ought to have been accentuated in the mix. I absolutely love the tract already, but that would've elevated it.

I'd love to hear one of these for the pre-THEOL records.
To revenge the misdeeds of the ruling class, there existed in the middle ages, in Germany, a secret tribunal, called the “Vehmgericht.” If a red cross was seen marked on a house, people knew that its owner was doomed by the “Vehm.”

All the houses of Europe are now marked with the mysterious red cross.

Where are these from?! These clearly aren't derived from stereo phase trickery, and kinda sound like isolated channels from a 5.1 mix.

I'm not sure. It just popped up in my recommended section on YouTube. I asked the guy what he uses in the comments.

Cool thing is, he posts several of these for people so there will probably be more to come.

I feel like the spotty, cut & paste nature of these bits, along with the music tracks tied to them, clearly betrays their NOT being sourced from multitracks.

I could've done pretty much the exact same thing with the karaoke function of my 25 year old CD/cassette player, lol.

That said, it's still great to hear and OMFG BRING ON THE MANSON MULTITRACKS PLZ, FFS.

^^^oh the things I'd do for Manson multi tracks..........

is it possible this is the result of somebody who is only getting one side of a stereo mix....?

    Confirmed: He doesn't use audacity.

The humming is great in Flowers Of Evil, if those were more embraced and turned up on the song, it would have gave it a whole lot more of a dynamic sound, which would beat it's flat sound.

I love the humming in Four Rusted Horses, it's badass.

I would pay a whole lot of $$$ for MM Multitracks.

These are not from multitracks. Isolation software has gotten pretty good in the last few years, still just edits to the original stereo mixes released on the CD.

None of them are really surprising to me, although it is interesting hearing some of the timing on the vocals without the filling sounds that drive the song. If you listen hard enough you can separate out the mixes on the songs without needing to isolate, but it just requires knowing where to listen. He does have somewhat of a loose pattern to how he blends the backing vocals and other vocal effects and that usually a good place to start. Something like the High End of Low - well, listen both high and low, but otherwise it is either going for where there is density and texture, or sometimes the quieter spots with an undercurrent of a baritone growl. Mechanical Animals particularly so.

    Still, sort of neat.
