    Default Mainstream pop/rock guilty pleasures.

This is my first attempt at making a thread so if I mess something up sorry.

Point of this thread is to name any awful mainstream pop/rock song that you actually like.
After you're done naming them please make an attempt to justify your horrible taste.

Mine has to be Three Days Grace- Never too Late.
I need no justification. For I am beautiful and I have spoken!

I have none because my tastes are impeccable and the rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Nah. I was really into Aqua. Doctor Jones Doctor Jones motherfucker. Also I had 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia stuck in my head for years as a younger gentleman, mostly due to the fact that I literally taped the music video off MTV because I wanted to fuck the girl so, so badly. Those are all I can think of at the moment, but there's absolutely more.

You need to stand by your opening statement. I forbid you to feel guilty about liking Aqua - especially Dr. Jones. Wake up now.

I used to like the Backstreet Boys and Aqua when I was 5. Everyone in my school liked them, even guys. They were extremely popular back then. And they were the only modern artists that were allowed in my school (talking about Catholic school, huh?).
Then my mother taught me about good pop/mainstream rock music from the late '70's-80's, and I finally dumped all that non-sense crap for good, until I discovered Manson and NIN by myself, back when I was 8, thanks to MTV.
Needless to say that I don't listen to today's pop/mainstream rock music at all, besides only a very few bands/artists like U2, Sting and Depeche Mode.
I do actually enjoy some Nickelback, Placebo and James Blunt stuff. But that's about it.
I don't go so crazy for them.

Okay I'll be the only other one besides theimpaler to take a real hit. When Miley Cyrus released her album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, I gave it a listen because it was produced [heavily and obviously] by The Flaming Lips. I was completely sold on the psychedelic overflow and absurd lyrics throughout the album. Some better than others, obviously.

So there's that. But then it gets worse. Afterwards, I went back and listened to Wrecking Ball for the first time ever just to see what her non-flaming lips music was like and... I think, um, I really like the song. The emotionality of it mostly. Not a fan of the video though, obviously, and her live performances of the song are THAT much better than the studio recording that I almost don't even like the recording.

    Full performance

But literally everything else of hers I have ever heard on the radio besides that album and that one single is complete garbage to me. Absolute shit. At least I have that.

    ... Kesha's Rainbow album

Good lyrical content, empowering, good beats; i've never watched the above videos, just have been listening to praying since its release & the album since it dropped a few days ago

I'm assuming these are garbage pop standards by the majority here simply by Kesha's history, but I've always adored the crazy bitch. <3 even more now.

OT: I honestly don't know of any mainstream acts that I could include in this thread. I don't listen to any mainstream acts or what's even around over the past decade or so. Hell, I just learned that Lorde was a real person just within this past week and not just Randy Marsh dressed in drag.

I liked some mainstream pop-punk acts in the 90's, but I think that's reaching back too far and wouldn't reflect on who I am into now. Oh well.
