Nice video, it makes me like the song more. Manson is looking good as well. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album, less than three weeks now!!!

Well there was direction they just didn't really tune it - flashing back and forth between XYZ imagery and a band is formulaic. However the imagery as you said was unrefined.

Enjoyable but so much more possibility.

Peru did mention cost, creativity, etc. in that one snippet so they certainly had constraints.

Anyhow still pretty cool and fun.

A lot of negative comments because it possibly is the worse video. They're shooting at a house then rape a family while making the child watch. Ya, totes a bad ass video bruh. I can honestly say I didn't like this video...It's a shame. The song is decent enough to deserve a better well constructed video. But oh well. Maybe I just need to force myself to watch this a million more times then I'll sound like all the other Manson fans, ey?

So finally have seen THE video. I am liking it a lot. It has similar feel, energy and editing techniques used during GAOG era (mostly I was reminded of the videos of (s)aint, This is the new shit and No reflection form BV era), which I am a huge fan of. I wasnīt very keen on the yellow filter, would have preferred a cold, bluish tint for sure, but there must have been a reason they went for it. IMO the focal point of the video was to take the piss of the US right wingerīs and their love for guns. In the same time he plays classic, recurring Manson themes of hot women with dark/dirty minds, drugs, sex and violence, but in a playful way - that is his trademark by now. The music video is another testament to the bandīs new found energy and directional change - everything about it is sharper, grittier, cockier and more aggressive than anything heard or seen during past 4 eras. The song itself has been on heavy rotation and I am NOT getting bored of it and I am NOT finding flaws, it is the opposite - it keeps getting better and better, there are so many layers to the sound, that whenever I play it, I hear something new! Good job!

I can't help but think of the reflecting god. But this is another level- this is after a couple decades of being shit on... it isn't a feeling anymore, or a statement, it's an action. Shoot shoot shoot FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE AWAY... but that's all it is: Action, lights on violence cue religion raping our faces; the messenger has been morphed into a standby sadist anti-hero.

Idk how people prefer the Say10 clip. That just just Manson sitting with smoke around him ripping a bible. And a scene if a corpse. It's much less active than this video. But I think Both videos work for each song they went with. Very well.

Isn't this pretty much the entire concept of the BV album?

No; no, it most definitely is not. You can argue using the "as above, so below" concept in that this would be a parallel realm of Born Villain (overall, that is- slomotion definitely fits the WKWYFL vibe)... Born Villian is the concept of being human with a heart and feelings and all the shit ramifications of relationships: love turned into fucking and fighting, and maybe even dying, "try your luck."

Within Born Villain, there's a shit ton of resentment tied to love and the death of romance (basically the ENTIRE FUCKING ALBUM), no doubt mused by Baudelaire's Flowers of Evil, (surprisingly still alive from its subtle influences seen in High End of Low) but we aren't seeing that in the menace that is to be known as Heaven Upside Down. He would scream from the top of his lungs to the bottom of his heart to the chasm in between, but that chasm has closed or become consumed by the blackhole that is oblivion.

WHo the fuck knows, but honetly, No- Born Villain was the neophyte to this parade of nihilism. Where's Saturnalia? =P

The more I think about this, the more I absolutely hate it. This is not what "Marilyn Manson" is supposed to be about. I don't recognize the message/music I fell in love with at all. It's not that I'm "offended", it's just so polar opposite and contradictory of all of his previous messages that made me a fan in the first place...Idk, I knew going in the video would probably suck, but I wasn't expecting this at all.
