Is this that song they made later that's supposed to be like The Cure? Manson mentioned in the interview they wanted a song that you'd fuck a girl to in highschool and this sounds like that.

I've seen a lot of derivative comparisons to other songs or albums but I don't know, it sounds pretty unique to me. I like it a lot more than WKWYFL which to me sounded a lot like the heavier stuff off ACSS.

Wow, I love this song at first listen! It reminds me of Born Again. I like it much, much better than WKWYFL.

This record has been getting a lot of strange post hoc comparisons, but this, I think, takes the cake.

I love this song. Love the funky, poppy sound of it and i was really hoping the album would have a song like this. Awesome.

    Holy shit.
This song is going to be forever in repeat in my player.
Is like a good drug. This is like 80's goth-pop-rock. Like an old friend. This song is EVERYTHING.
Is not a song, is THE song.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Especially compared to a song like WOW.

I love the 70s style funk guitar lick

    Called it. ;-]

I wish this were a bit more evocative. The "film noir" description puts me in mind of "Spade" or "I Want To Kill You Live They Do In The Movies" or "The WOW" [none of which are especially comparable musically]
This is pretty much "The Dope Show", "WOW", "Leave A Scar" and "Third Day" rolled into one. But I like it quite a bit more than any of those. Yeah, even more than "The Dope Show", which I think is one of the lesser stars in the Mechanical Animals constellation.

Well, it's just the first thing that it made me think of, probably because of the 80's goth/"dance" sounds in the background.

There we go; now I'm excited for the album again. Top-notch production, too.
