Believe it when I see it. :)

Picking when the anxiety spiral is difficult even before finding the power to step back and take a breath. So I wish you good luck, lots of space and many non-fizzy liquids.

I had a lot of personal growth last year so I feel really optimistic about continual improvement in 2018, some goals:

-Becoming more efficient with my time, making more time for reading and socialising.
-Improving my current relationships and starting new ones
-Learning how to live dirt cheap so I can spend my money on bitcoins
-Doing more drugs (the good ones lmao)
-Drinking less, at my old age of 26 alcohol has started to lose its charm causing me to cut back, and I don't miss it.

Chemistry is the building blocks of life so I'd wager you know more than most about it :), keep reading your books, maybe accompanied by a little shot of Mexican mouthwash to help the science along.

You know, I was considering to get one of those because on average my household consumes around 8 litres of sparkling water per week. However while reading about all the amazing features of these machines, I couldn't really find any information on whether or not they filtrate tap water. Because if they don't then there is no point buying bottled still water just to carbonate it, might as well stick to buying bottled water that is already carbonated.

I know the procrastination feeling well, and the horrible combination of all three types of fear at once. Learning to find the point of friction that triggers insecurities and the anxiety spiral that causes avoidance is a very difficult task and can be very confronting. A friend of mine was practising her motivational interviewing on me (as one does) and even though the goal I set for the example was really very low risk, it unlocked a whole range of crap I'd been ignoring. Still, unpicking it later did help.
I don't have any cool friends like that but I think this article is a good place to start. I just revisited it so time to give it some thought.

Thank you for the good wishes also, and same to you! I completely emphatize with the work/personal interests/social life balance search so I guess priority is key. There are a lot of things I want to do but don't for one reason or another so I plan to come up with some sort of schedule that could allow me to be more time efficient and productive.

And @Plutonia, do what is important to you. If you are happy doing your studies then there is no reason to feel bad for lacking something society has implemented as the norm. I get drunk (almost) every Saturday night and then feel like a cow turd the next day, rendering myself unable to do anything productive for 90% of the day. And fuck, if I had spent more time studying instead of drinking and socializing earlier in my life I'd probably not be stuck in a "rat race" kind of lifestyle right now, lol. So yeah, what @Suedehead said. :)

To make reality sink in. Either like serrated teeth or like a cuddle. What I'm saying by that is that I need to get back to imposing my will and not just tolerating going through the motions with alleged professionals or even dealing with people in my life. This is the year of no middle ground unless it's for the sake of blood not being spilled because I can't be bothered to clean it up even though I have no problem making a mess if need be. Hopefully, I will accomplish a lot of the unsaid things that ...went unsaid as I don't like mentioning my goals because whenever I do, for some reason I can never meet them or have an extremely hard time doing so.

I haven't really done any specific research on it to give you more information as I don't really drink filtered water as the tap water here is fine. There are a few that you can connect to the water supply, so I suppose as long as you have a filter before it?

I was a learning experiment for her, it is not like I was getting an actual service! I'd still have to pay her money, except of course I'd not be allowed. Something to do with ethics, blah, blah. :D

Minimising future planning and working on living in a realistic now. Good advice. Except for the part where it is just as crippling as any other approach, especially if you were not blessed with the burden of having any positive thinking in the first place. Letting go of personal narratives (especially if based in trauma) is a great deal harder than implied. Fear unfortunately does not go away simply because you acknowledge it, even if it is a good start. However, don't listen to me, I am a notorious glass-half empty sort! :)

Thanks :) Although I understand the necessity of structure and structures, I really hate scheduling. I do it too much at work to drive other people forward and to motivate them, which takes energy and is a lot like a continuous wrestling match. Don't really want to have to do it for myself, especially as part of the problem is I need to break out of that mode. Mostly I need to take advantage of mood and energy and not simply fall into default time fillers. They may be easy, but they are also very unhealthy. Dammit.

    @Absolution
Congratulations on last year, and good luck with the maximising bitcoins and the improving socialising/drug taking on a budget! It sounds like you are in for some serious number crunching :)
