    Default Tag, you're it...

I've been editing The Fight Song's Wikipedia article, and tried to find if the song appeared on the Official UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart Top 40 (it didn't, apparently), but I ended up finding some pretty ridiculous stats: "Lunchbox" peaked at #5 and spent at least 203 weeks on the chart; "Tourniquet" and "Disposable Teens" both peaked at #1. Those were random stats I stumbled on while trying to find Fight Song info (early 2001), which makes me wonder what the hell else Wikipedia is missing.

The band debuted on the UK Singles Chart on 10 August 1996 with "Sweet Dreams" (#135). I've browsed the Official UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart Top 40 from that date up until 5 January 1997, and couldn't find anything, but obviously there's a shitload to discover there.

So if you find yourself bored anytime over the next few years, click here and ALT+F for "Marilyn Manson". If you find nothing on one week, then click on "next >", and continue on until you finally find Marilyn Manson. Respond with the URL of the week you stopped checking and post any chart positions you've found, and eventually we'll have a database of the chart position of every Manson single and album track that has ever appeared on that chart. Considering random stuff like "Doll-Dagga Buzz-Buzz Ziggety-Zag" peaked at #15 in April 2012, I think there could be a goldmine here.

Pretty neat. Cool to see TBP, Tourniquet, Lunchbox, and Get Your Gunn were all in the top 40 in 1999, years after their release.

^ There's an error on OCC's website. They have no charts listed between 1 May and 4 September.

    2006:
PJ 52 weeks on chart (29 Jan)

^ "Arma-geddon" did not enter the Rock & Metal Singles Chart; the OCC must have changed their methodology this year--tonnes of old shit taking over (Rage Against the Machine, Guns 'n' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Metallica, etc.). But "Arma-geddon" peaked @ #12 on the Physical Singles Chart on 24 May.

Either people need to start buying the one-track digital "singles" Manson's been releasing since 2014, or the singles off the next album better have some fucking b-sides. What was the last official b-side, "Mind of a Lunatic" in 2003? Fuck sake Manson, have you not got some random shit you could throw on a single every now and again?
