According to the UK newspaper The Sun, Marilyn Manson has been inspired by the campaign to get RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE to the Christmas No1 ahead of UK X Factor winner Joe McElderry.

A campaign was launched on Facebook early December to get Rage's "Killing in the Name" to the Christmas No.1 slot in the UK charts, which for the past four years has been taken by X Factor winners. The campaign was a success and "Killing in the Name" took the No.1 spot this Christmas.

Marilyn Manson comments -
"I don't have anything against SIMON COWELL and The X Factor.
It's just nice to see real music at the top of the charts.

Somebody should try to do it next year. Can I suggest one of NINE INCH NAILS' best tracks called Star****ers Inc?

We should try to make it a yearly thing.
