The Tour Begins: Europe, February 2025

The tour kicked off in Europe in February, with a headlining run that sold out immediately. European dates marked the first performances of several new tracks, including the album’s title track, “One Assassination Under God,” which debuted in Munich, Germany and often appeared as a rotating encore at following shows. Later in the year the song even appeared mid set and even opened the Halloween show in Bournemouth.

Nod If You Understand” served as the opening song for nearly every show, setting an intense tone and reintroducing Manson to the stage with the raw energy, heavy hitting pure rock n roll track.

The stage featured double cross lighting across the back of the stage, including a larger suspended cross above the band, synced to lighting cues that enhanced the performance or set the mood to accompany the songs.

The show evolved over the year as Marilyn Manson continued onward from Europe and across North America performing sold out headlining shows throughout the Spring and Summer. Later returning to Europe for an even larger tour than earlier in the year.

The Band, The Dope Show & Special Pairings

Marilyn Manson was joined on stage by:

Reba Meyers – Guitar
Tyler Bates – Guitar
Piggy D – Bass Guitar
Gil Sharone – Drums

The shows included a band introduction segment, typically leading into “The Dope Show,” with Manson introducing each band member before closing the introductions by declaring:

I’m Marilyn Manson, and I’m a drug addict.” - Marilyn Manson

During the February tour Marilyn Manson used a portion of My Monkey from Portrait Of An American Family (1994) before continuing with band member introductions. An incredibly cool moment during the show.

An instrumental interlude by Tyler Bates often preceded a costume change, adding a cinematic moment to the setlist which blended perfectly as Marilyn Manson would return to the stage for the next song.

As the tour progressed, “The Dope Show” gained an extended spoken introduction — a monologue blending humor, storytelling, and theatrical flair as Marilyn Manson confessed his sins. After introductions the band would begin with "I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me)," before Marilyn Manson would cut them off and have a confession to make. Several versions of the story were told across the tour but generally similar as follows:

"Wait, wait, wait… I LIED! I did like the drugs! I fucking LOVED the drugs… and the drugs LOVED me! Sending me love letters, following me, calling me… One time I had to give in. I said let’s go for a romantic drive drugs… we went out to the desert and we drove and we drove and we drove and we drove!!! We got out car and I dug a big heart shaped hole in the ground! Drugs looked at me and said I’m gonna love you until the day I die!
I said I can fix that, I fucking shoved them in and buried them! and I came home ALIVE! My names Marilyn Manson and I’m a fucking drug addict!
" - Marilyn Manson, Nottingham, UK

Pairing “The Dope Show” with “As Sick As The Secrets Within” became one of the tour’s most poignant moments, highlighting Manson’s reflection on past excesses and his renewed perspective. This pairing created a dramatic juxtaposition of past and present, making it one of the most powerful moments of the show.

Marilyn Manson will celebrate 5 years of sobriety in February 2026 which we are all incredibly proud of him and support him through this. It's great when moments like the aforementioned songs can appear together in a setlist and use the changes in his life to his advantage to enhance the moment and performance.

Another great pairing is the transition from "Nod If You Understand" into "Disposable Teens." As if the intro from Nod... wasn't enough to set the tone of the show and Marilyn Manson's come back... he quickly pairs it with another powerful song with introductions that acknowledge the last few years of hell that he's been through:

"They tried their best to take me away from you... they fucking failed! They tried their best to take you away from me... they fucking failed. They tried their best to destroy me and they only made me stronger! because I'm not fuckin' disposable!" - Marilyn Manson, Brno, Czech Republic.

Rare Songs & Historic Live Debuts

2025 was a year of unforgettable surprises for fans, with several songs returning to the stage after years — and even decades — away and one song making it's live debut almost 30 years after it was released.

"Get Your Gunn" from 1994's "Portrait Of An American Family" was last performed a few times in 2014 and before that during 2005 tours. This song appeared on the North America Spring Tour and was a much welcomed addition!

The Long Hard Road Out of Hell” – Originally released in 1997 as part of the SPAWN soundtrack, this fan-favorite had never been performed live until May 2 in Grand Rapids, MI. 28 years after the song was originally released, Manson delivered its debut with full intensity, and the song quickly became a setlist staple throughout most of the shows across the year.

Mechanical Animals” – The title track from the 1998 album had only been performed a handful of times since "Mechanical Animals" the album had been released. The song was performed several times during 1998-1999 and last performed a few times in 2008. In 2025, it returned to the setlist, delighting fans who hadn’t expected to hear it again live.

The Fight Song” – Performed only once at Arizona Bike Week on April 5th, this song was featured as an encore, with Manson returning to the stage sporting the iconic black stripe of makeup from the original music video and Holy Wood promotional photography.

If I Was Your Vampire” – Perhaps the most emotional moment of the tour occurred on Halloween in Bournemouth, UK, when Manson performed this song as a surprise final encore. Originally released on EAT ME, DRINK ME (2007), it had rarely appeared live since then. For fans, this performance was deeply meaningful, Marilyn Manson reclaimed an incredible song.

As mentioned earlier, throughout the tour Marilyn Manson would sometimes add a portion of a song as a introduction to others such as My Monkey and I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me) before The Dope Show. Another cool intro which rarely happened but we was lucky to witness and capture this, 1996 spoken version was performed as an intro to The Beautiful People in Wolverhampton, UK.

The setlist remained innovative throughout the tour – Several songs from One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 were rotated throughout the year. Nearly all tracks received live debuts at various points, giving audiences across continents a unique experience at each show.

These rare performances, combined with a mix of classic hits and new material, made 2025 a year where fans witnessed both historic firsts and long-awaited returns, solidifying the tour as one of the most memorable in Marilyn Manson’s career.

Evolving Production & Stage Design

The winter UK and European leg introduced new elements to the stage, a larger suspended cross, CO₂ jets, and expanded visuals. One of the standout moments of the tour was the return of “mOBSCENE” with a new spoken intro. Before launching into the song, Manson addressed the audience with:

“Raise your hand if you were born obscene?
Raise your hand if you were made obscene?
Raise your hand if you BLAME me?”

As the crowd erupted, the iconic mOBSCENE sign dropped from above the stage, flashing between mOBSCENE and OBSCENE, before the band kicked into the track. This combination of new intro, visual spectacle, and crowd interaction made “mOBSCENE” one of the most memorable moments of the tour which we hope will remain into the tour in 2026.

Tourniquet” often appeared in the setlist but in later dates it switched up into part of the encore. During the encore performance, Manson reintroduced stilts into the live show, walking above the audience and commanding the stage in a visually striking, theatrical moment. Fans praised this addition, and it became one of the most iconic visual highlights of the tour.

Festivals & Global Reach

Manson headlined and appeared at major festivals worldwide in 2025:

Louder Than Life
Aftershock
Rocklahoma
Inkcarceration
Rock Fest
Arizona Bike Week

and other radio festivals...

In August, he performed at FENAPO in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, drawing 205,000 attendees, despite protests.

In September, he headlined Park Live Festival in Kazakhstan, marking his first-ever performance there, followed by a return to Istanbul, Turkey, his first since 2007.

The tour concluded at Knotfest Mexico on December 6, where Manson joined Falling In Reverse to perform “God Is A Weapon” live for the first time. The song was released earlier in 2025 and instantly became one of the biggest rock songs of the year, but it wasn't until December that both bands schedules worked out able to perform the song live together. Beyond the Tour

Outside of live performances, Manson released a cover of Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight,” issued via Nuclear Blast, with limited edition CDs and a picture vinyl that sold out. The song was performed multiple times across the North American tour dates as a special encore at some shows.

The studio version and an alternate arrangement of "As Sick As The Secrets Within" titled "As Sick As The Secrets of (Sleep)" was released on both the CD and Vinyl.

Looking Ahead to 2026

2025 was a year of momentum, reinvention, and endurance. With tour dates already announced for 2026 in support of One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, anticipation for the next chapter is already building. Currently there is no release date or further details announced for the new album but it's safe to assume that sometime soon in 2026 we will know more!
