Tyler Bates Concludes Touring With Marilyn Manson

Tyler Bates has today announced his departure from touring with Marilyn Manson.
Entering the New Year, Tyler has decided to focus on his artist, film and television projects which as a result means he’s decided to conclude his time touring with Marilyn Manson. In his statement he reflects upon the time touring with Marilyn Manson and band members, wishing them and the crew all the best for the future. He also thanks the fans for the loyalty and support of the new music and performances.
He goes on to mention that although stepping away, he will be actively supporting “One Assassination Under God - Chapter 2” which he believes is his finest work with Marilyn Manson.

“Hello, Good People. Every New Year prompts reflection on all that has transpired and what lies ahead. In light of this, I have decided to conclude my time touring with Marilyn Manson to focus on my artist, film, and television projects. I have enjoyed every minute working and performing with my bandmates, Gil Sharone, Reba Meyers, and Matt (Piggy D) Montgomery. They are stellar humans on and off stage. I will miss performing with them for the incredible audiences we met around the planet in support of ‘One Assassination Under God: Chapter One.’
I’m stepping away, but I will be actively supporting the upcoming release of “Chapter Two,” my fourth album with Manson, which I believe is our finest work together. I wish M, the band, and the crew the best of success and good times moving forward. Thank you, the fans, for your loyalty and support of our new music and performances. The following day Marilyn Manson uploaded the following statement to his Instagram stories.
Tyler Bates and Marilyn Manson’s most recent collaboration is “One Assassination Under God - Chapter 1” which was released in November 2024, he also joined the band as live guitarist for tour dates in 2024 through to the “One Assassination Under God Tour” of 2025.
“One Assassination Under God - Chapter 2” is the second half of their new album together which is expected soon this year. Marilyn Manson will tour in support of Chapter 2 without Tyler Bates as a live guitarist. As this news has just broke and currently there are no shows planned until April 2026, we currently don’t know who will replace his position in the live band.
Tyler Bates and Marilyn Manson’s collaborations span back to a decade ago where they joined forces and wrote The Pale Emperor, released January 2015 which was then followed by Heaven Upside Down in October 2017. For supporting tours of both those albums Tyler Bates joined as live lead guitarist for various legs of the tours when his schedule allowed him, he would later depart from the tours also due to work commitments.
